Mattancherry Palace is beautiful monument which is also called the Dutch Palace. The palace was constructed by the Portuguese and then later given to Cochin’s king as a present and therefore it was called Ducth Palace.

Situated near the Bekal beach, this beautiful edifice is spread in a about 40 acres in Kasargod district. The major attractions in the fort is the water-tank that controls the flight of moves.

It was around 18th century when this majestic fort of Krishnapuram Palace was built. It was constructed during the reign of south Indian king Marthanda Varma. The Palace houses old paintings, inscriptions, coins, stone monuments and many other antiques.
