Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Canacona Taluka of South Goa. The nearest town of the sanctuary is Poinguinim which is located at a distance of 2 km only. The wildlife park is spread across in area approx 86 sq km which makes this place holds the position of second Largest wildlife reserve in Goa.

The sanctuary is compact with 8 plush natural trails which are spread throughout the reserve spreading in the length and breadth of 500m to 5km. Travellers can look into the beauty of the natural reserve through 6 spectacular watchtowers from where one can enjoy watching the plush Wildlife of Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. Within the wildlife sanctuary there are two shimmering rivers namely Gal River and Talpona River which has the originating points within the sanctuary.

One cannot enter the premises with their own food and water, if you want, you would like to take a prior permission from Deputy Conservator of Forests in Panaji. 5. The premises contains Eco-tourism complex which is laying 300 meters from the entrance.
